How to make a good road trip video?

I'm going on a week long road trip with a friend and want to make a video about it. I bought a GoPro and accessories for it. This is my first video. Is there any tips I should know? Either during the video, how I should hold the camera or probably place it, or even during the editing part. Just looking for any tips
