How to start filming/film making/videoing?

I want to start video recording my daily adventures and stories, as I was really inspired by vlogs and adventure videos(on GoPro channel) that ive watched on youtube, and am really interested to know how to take and edit such beautiful videos. But I have no experience with film making or video editing or even photography.(I believe taking shots or vids from my phone does not count) And i believe these skills which i do not have are essential. However i do have a little experience with stop motion in school when I was younger, which ive probably forgotten the details of it. Neither do i have the any gadgets for it accept for my shitty phone and an acer desktop, and have no idea what kind of gadgets/resources i need for this interest of mine. But im currently saving up and thinking of getting an action cam( gopro, which model?) Lastly, are there any other alternatives for learning these video making skills because i wouldnt be interested in paying for film classes as im only a student. However if it is really advisable to go for such classes, i will find a way. (Where to go for such classes in SG) All in all, i have this really strong interest in making vidoes of my adventures. But i have no idea of how and where to start. Advisable answers would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
