MacBook Pro 15 i7 or HP Envy touchscreen?

Good Evening,

I will be entering college to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am in need of a laptop but don't know which one would be better off for me when it comes to school.
HP envy 17.3" touchscreen, Intel core i7, 16gb, 1tb HD, 2.4 ghz or
MacBook Pro 15.4" retina display, Intel core i7, 16gb, 2.2 ghz?
There is a huge price difference between the two.
Keep in mind that I will probably be using autocad. I also like Apple because I enjoy using iTunes and iMovie for my GoPro. But I am willing to give those up if the Envy is better.
