Paddle boarding soft top GOPRO?

I want to put a gopro on my soft top SUP board with the gopro bodyboard mount. I read that most boards have 3 plywood stringers in them however mine has 4. So my question is should I off center it like recommended or center it since the plywood would prolly not be in the center middle to be even with 4?
