Is the Gopro Hero 3+ worth it if I'm not an adrenaline junkie?

I'm going to Spain soon for a one-year student exchange trip so I'm considering buying one. But since I'm not going to use for doing extreme stuff like skydiving or surfing, do you think it would be worth it?
