I cant get my gopro and wifi bacpac to register what do i do?

Ok so i have the gopro 960 and i just got the wifi bacpac and i need to register them and i pulled the gopro up and the software isnt showing up it just shows that a gopro hero 2 isnt connected so then i took out the sd card which was a 16gb card but not the once thats compatible with this camera and i was going to get a sandisk one so is it the card that wont register it or what? Also i plugged up the bacpac too and when i clicked register and filled out the info and click submit it says error
