I ordered a 12,000 mAh battery pack (With 2 USB ports to charge phones, tablets, etc) online awhile back, and I dont believe its anywhere near 12,000 mAh.
Reason being is that my iPhone 5S has a 1500~ mAh battery, which should be able to be fully charged roughly 8 times. (I would say 5-6 since I use the phone while its charging so not 100% is going to charging the battery)
Realistically I get about 1.5 charges out of it, and by charges, I mean about 40-50% on my iPhone back to 100% So essentially barely one full charge.
I didnt pay much for the thing, so im not mad, BUT I just hate false advertising, and for its size, it should charge this thing more than one time. (Its roughly 1.7" thick, 5" wide, and 4.5" tall) It has 4 batteries in it, but its a battery pack. Looks like 4 "AA's"
I was wondering if there is anyway to test the thing without any fancy equipment.
Like could I completely drain one of my gadgets, such as my GoPro, ActionCam or even iPhone, and have the device off, and see how many times it will charge it to get a decently accurate estimate of the actual mAh rating?
