I have a Mac.
Wait! Don't leave yet!
It's a relatively straightforward question.
When you plug in a GoPro onto a mac, iPhoto takes over as the default media navigation tool.
This is where one would normally browse, import, and erase files.
Now, the permission settings for the camera's files are set to Read Only so that I cannot actually access the GoPro's folders through Finder.
But I don't want to be defaulted to iPhoto (since it is an absolutely dreadful and absurd application); I want to be able to read and write files through the Finder (equivalent to Microsoft File Manager) like a sane and normal fucking human being.
Now I get to my question. If I change the file permissions on this god-forsaken Mac so that I can actually have access to the files that I own; and whence I have altered said permissions, if I begin to edit the media files directly from the GoPro folder, do I stand a chance at corrupting my little 32gb Sandisk Micro SD?
Thanks for your time!
tl;dr:
GoPro and video files
Mac gay
iPhoto GAYER
if change permissions = corrupted SD card?
Added (1). Too vague? Hmmmm.
