I'm interested in buying an action camera for b-roll footage that I'll be taking for a class next year. I would like to know which camera is better. I'm leaning more towards the GoPro, but I'm just making an assumption. What makes the Gopro more than just a "name brand"? How is it better than the cheaper alternative listed in the title? I'm just an amateur when it comes to action camera, so information on the two would be greatly appreciated.
