Should I buy a GoPro for my vacation?

Hello, I m going to Honolulu this summer and I want to capture as much of the experience as I can since who knows when I ll be the chance to visit again. I ll be hiking, scuba diving etc. I have been thinking of buying the Hereo4 silver along with the accessories you have to buy separately it will come out to a little over $500. Now I don t really travel nor am i always doing adventurous activities everyday. Would it be worth it? I m sure it would come in handy in the future but to use it all the time I know I wouldn t. Would you purchase it?
