Does GoPro exchange a faulty device?

ok i bought a GoPro 4 silver at best buy and i bought a wifi remote on ebay brand new as well for a fraction of the price from best buy 2 months ago. So i tried to pair the two device and it won't pair, searched on youtube and googled how to do it and still not working. I went to best buy geek squad saw the guy searching on Gopro.com and on google basically like what i did to no avail. I literally spent 5 hours searching last night. I can't return the remote on ebay because it has been 2 month.
