How to import GoPro files via usb without using GoPro Studio on Windows 10?

It's driving me crazy. I have a Hero4 and a Win 10 laptop. I want to use it like I use every other USB storage device. I want to plug it in, see a new drive, and copy the images/videos over (or important directly into Lightroom). It seems my only option is to yank the microsd and put it in the computer or use the very clunky GoPro Studio software.

Does anyone have any advice here?

My Win10 doesn't seem to have an autoplay option for my GoPro.
