Can I use my Nikon Coolpix L340 Digital Camera or my GoPro as a web cam on my computer?

It's a very nice camera, and I love the go pro, but I need a web cam. I googled it and it said I could download an app called SparkoCam that is compatible with Nikon and Canon. I followed these steps to a T --- http://sparkosoft.com/how-to-use-dslr-as-webcam --- and my camera doesn't show up as a source I can use, and it's connected to the computer because that popup window comes up and I can see my files on there. If I cannot use my Nikon, is it possible to use the GoPro?
