Why does my gopro hero 2 keep freezing?

Every time I turn my hero 2 on, about 10 seconds after, it just freezes. I ve tried updating it but it freezes as soon as the update starts so I don t get the time to update it. I ve also tried downgrading it but the same thing happens. I ve got a SanDisk Extremes 32gb sd card and a fully charged battery.
