GoPro Hero 4 session problem?

I don't really own good cameras but when I saw the GoPro hero 4 session I thought it would be awesome to have, I recently got it and I was watching these YouTube videos with footage shot with the hero 4 session and the quality was really good. But when I use mine it doesn't seem to be that good. I have it set to 1440p so I don't understand why it's happening. If I play it back on my phone I understand since I still only have a iPhone 4s but I have a pretty good computer. It's not 4K but it can handle 1440 so it's really disappointing. Any solutions?
