Is it possible to use the GoPro 3.5mm Mic Adapter Cable with another Action Camera?

I purchased a CCBetter 1080p FULL HD Action camera for my helmet and its great, but the microphone is internal and doesnt have a jack to plug a microphone in.
The GoPro mic adapter has the same micro usb ending I can use on this camera so could I use this adapter for an external microphone for my motovlogs?
