Hello,
I am looking for an action camera primarily for recording videos of flying from inside the cockpit of an airplane. I am also planning on using it for recording motorcycle riding, attached to the tank of a sport bike, or maybe a helmet (if the mount would not mess up the helmet). I will also likely use it in water every now and then.
As I am primarily going to be using it for recording flying videos, I need to be able to connect the audio to the aircraft's intercom / radio. After some searching I think I found an adapter cable that would work with the Drift Ghost S.
I am not sure if the same thing can be achieved with a GoPro. I suppose a 3.5mm GoPro adapter and the above intercom adapter would work.
With these purposes in mind, which camera would likely be a better purchase decision from the point of aircraft audio integration, cost of not-included suction cup mounts and memory cards, overall total cost to get this described setup working, and video quality?
From my own research, I gather that both are superb cameras. It seems that GoPro has the better outright image quality and abundance of accessories, While the Drift Ghost S can swivel it's lens for easier placement, looks better / more steramlined, longer battery life, and (maybe) would be easier to rig an aircraft intercom to.
I have not specified which particular GoPro model because I am not sure which GoPro I should choose if I was not going to get the Drift.
