I am going to Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas this year and I want an action camera for recording the EDC experience, including the rides, artwork, and live DJs. I am looking at getting the Contour Roam2 but haven't seen a single video that shows how it performs at live concerts. However I saw a few videos with footage recorded with the GoPro, and the sound quality is bad; like the mid-range frequencies are cut out. I want to use this camera for recording whole DJ sets, while being hands free so I can experience the event and not just capture it. I am looking at the Countour ROAM2 camera mainly, because of its ability to strap to the side of my head with one of the mounts it comes with; although I haven't ruled out other camera, However I am looking for one that does these three things good:
-Fixed focus, whether it's default or an option so each strobe doesn't put the camera out of focus.
-Good sound quality, especially at high volume, which has decent frequency response for the crowd, vocals, and bass, without distortion.
-Great low-light video quality, this is an event that goes on at night; so there will be something like stadium lights to provide evening like lighting.
-Decent battery life for built-in battery or removable battery which can be switched out. (I know the Contour tops out at 3.5 hours on a full charge so I want to buy two of them and switch them out)
So the Contour Roam2 does the things best, please let me know. Or better yet link to some concert sample footage that was recorded with the Contour. If not, please recommend another action camera that would be able to do this job well.
