I have recently picked up a JVC GC-XA2 camcorder (a lot like a GoPro) to use for outdoors usage, but primarily as a webcam for a web series on YouTube that I plan to create, which would involve me sitting in front of the camera and speaking. I liked its small, compact size and ability to record in full HD. However, I have recorded an 11 minute video at 1080p60, resulting in 2 GB in file size. I worry that the size of these videos will make uploading to YouTube difficult, as I know that many people have issues uploading higher quality videos to YouTube at times. I am wondering if filming in 1080p30 will facilitate the uploading of these videos since it will create a smaller file size. But will this lower the quality of the video too much? Does anyone have any recommendations? I have seen face-to-cam videos with bad quality (lagging and distortion) and I do not want my videos to turn out this way, but I am also not sure as to how much YouTube uploading can handle as far as data space goes. Has anyone had any experience with this and can provide insight?
