I don't want any "fanboys" out there telling me to buy one or the other just to get it, please listen to what I use it for and what I need then decide. I don't do any gaming when I use my computer. My main concerns are portability and battery life. I don't use my computer for much besides some Microsoft word documents and browsing around the internet and a few things on the side like uploading gopro videos and whatnot. Ive been on countless forums with people saying macs are better they last longer blah blah but in all honesty I dont know if that's true because the HP im on now has been here for 4 years and still as fast. I used to work in graphic design in school and the macs were a bigger pain in the *** yet all my friends macs seem fine and its vice versa out of school/work. (I do not plan on doing graphic arts as a job)
The major thing im stuck on with macs is the price. They are way to damn expensive in my book but so is the surface pro 3. I love the face there are way less viruses out and certain things run on them better but I also fell in love with the whole productivity tablet/laptop of the surface. Also the fact with macs that I think is bullshit is unless you get a retina display you don't get full 1080p resolution which I think for the "high end laptop" marketing their trying to portray is bullshit. Anyway im really on the fence so.
Which should I get and why? Please don't answer anything besides these devices (SP3 MAC air or pro)
Added (1). don't use the air over the pro for portability b/c the extra pound or two wont bother me. I USED to HATE macs they have certain advantages and disadvantages to windows. Someone convince me what to get and why.
Also I have no other apple products that would be compatible with the MAC besides an itouch and don't plan on getting anything else
