How to fix GoPro's front LCD screen?

Recently, my GoPro's LCD screen on the front stopped working. I haven't even had it for 8 months… I can still turn it on and off and the wifi still works to connect to my iPhone (for the GoPro app). I've tried updating as well as taking out and putting back the SD card and the battery. I've contacted the GoPro support team, however they have not responded. Has this happened to anyone? Does anyone have a solution or has the GoPro team helped? If so, what have they done or told you?
